Alyssa Abo

Alyssa Abo, M.D., M.B.A.

Dr. Alyssa Abo is an experienced physician innovator who’s passionate about integrating technology into clinical medicine. Her expertise in emerging technologies such as point of care ultrasound, devices, and digital health, have demonstrated her ability to push the boundaries of clinical medicine.

Dr. Abo is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics. After receiving her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied science, she attended Sackler School of Medicine. Dr. Abo completed her pediatric residency at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital and is dual fellowship trained in pediatric emergency medicine from Boston Children’s Hospital, and Emergency Ultrasound from University of California, Davis. Most recently, Dr. Abo earned her MBA focused on the Management of Technology in Innovation from the George Washington University School of Business.

Dr. Abo is considered one of the pioneers of pediatric point of care ultrasound and played an instrumental role in establishing the field of point of care ultrasound in pediatric emergency medicine. Over the past few years, she has expanded her portfolio to new emerging technologies. She has advised numerous medical device companies and has established strong relationships with industry partners. Given her passion for digital health, Dr. Abo joined the team at Lynx MD as their VP of Medical Affairs and Strategic Partnerships.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and loves traveling around the world.
